Present of the Uhříněves Brewery
The main operation of the brewery has been restored in the former bottling plant under the cooling harbour. Here, a brewhouse, a lager cellar, a bottling plant, a keg washing plant and a warehouse for finished products (kegs and bottles) were built. On the floor above we set up a boiler room, a scrapping room and a warehouse. We started the construction work in June 2015 and by the end of the year the brewery had already brewed a test batch.
We have pragmatically composed the brewery team so that everyone has a role to play. It consists of two owners of the building (also descendants of the original owners who ran the brewery from 1884 to 1949), two experienced Prague brewers and two successful restorers.
Following the tradition of our brewery, we produce classic bottom-fermented beers of 11, 13 and 14 st. We are also reviving the interwar tradition of the Uhrněvesky Porter, whose original logo is preserved on the bottle labels. Already domesticated and permanent beers of our brewery have become locally unusual ALE and IPA inspired by American beer styles and brewed in cooperation with Prager Laffe brewery. Among the seasonal specials, a Weizen-style pale wheat beer has been successfully tried so far and will be on permanent offer at least through the summer.
We want to offer our beers mainly to customers who perceive beer drinking as a gastronomic experience, and therefore we carefully select restaurants where the beer is properly cared for in the style of our motto: "With respect for tradition. With respect for beer."
